More on the Pyramid
The pyramids of Giza are one of the most recognisable wonders in the world, and The Great Pyramid is the grandest of them all. Built by the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu it took 20 years to build, is the largest in the world, has been standing for over 4500 years and is the only ancient wonder of the world left standing relatively intact!
Aside from the impressive facts, it’s the mystery about the pyramids that makes them even more special. Built more than 3000 years before history was written, everything we know about them can, and often has been questioned.
It is located on the Giza plateau with the pyramids of his son (Khafre), his grandson (Menkaure) and the Sphinx.
