A little more on Iguazu falls
Named by the Guarani Indians, Iguazu means “big water”. Depending on the season they are made up of 275 subsidiary waterfalls along 1.67 miles (2.7 kms) of the Iguazu River. The largest, Devil’s Throat (Garganta del Diablo), is 82m high, which is the same as a 24 story building!
Located on the border of Brazil and Argentina, there are many ways to see the falls. The high circuit has fantastic panoramic views, while the lower circuit gets right up close (prepare to get wet!). The surrounding rainforests are host to hundreds of species of fauna and flora, and provides the perfect backdrop to these amazing falls.
